TRANSITION

  • When God wanted something, He didn’t wait for anything to change, He got it instantaneously.
  • If you received a promise or word that something was going to occur and a long period of time has gone by and there has not been manifestation, at some point you will come to one of two possible conclusions. Those conclusions will hit at about the same time and that is when you get fed up.
  1. The thing that I was promised is not likely to occur.Too much time has passed, maybe I misheard, maybe that promise was not really for me.Hope deferred has made the heart sick.
  2. The promise that I’ve been promised is about to happen tomorrow. When you decide your season of waiting is over and you're going to enter to season of receiving, you qualify that as being your tomorrow.
  • 2 Kings 6 – famine in the land; no food; people were desperate and began to do desperate things.
  • 2 Kings 7:1 Elisha came along and made a declaration. He was fed up and declared that “tomorrow at about this time, there is going to be plenty and it is going to be affordable.”
  • He prophesied to his tomorrow and said in 24 hours, thing are going to change. He got tired of how things were and made a declaration. Have you made a declaration that things are going to change?
  • Ecclesiastes 3:1 – to everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.
  • A season is a special period of time accompanied by purpose, power and provision or a lack thereof.
  • The purpose of the season of abundance is to prepare for the season of scarcity.
  • Your ability to understand and master transition is the key to mastering this human experience.
  • Your inability to understand and master transition is a prescription for stagnation.
Four Definitions for Transition
1. When one season of your life abruptly ends and you’re forced to enter a new season
2. Those seemingly insecure and unpredictable times in your life when you’re not sure where you're going or what’s next.
3. When God disqualifies you from your present in favor of your future.
4. When God forces you off the shores of Egypt into the Red Sea, headed for your promised land [Egypt means limit] so God is forcing you out of limit, slavery, bondage.
  • You may feel like you’re going to drown, but you won’t.The water is washing away the things that cannot go into Canine with you.
  • God doesn’t really have to kick you out of limit. When you become a student of unlimited, limit will kick you out of it.
  • Transition is triggered by sudden change. When sudden change occurs, you must change.Whoever changes first becomes the leader. Either you or the circumstance.
  • SUDDENLY things are going to change. He is the God of suddenly.
  • Crisis always happens at the turn of transition. Crisis is disorder, but disorder is necessary for new order.
  • Transition is not the proof of opposition; it is the proof of promotion.
Ten Facts About Transition
1. Most of life’s transitions are scheduled for you. Psalm 37:23
Isaiah 30:21, Romans 8:28
God doesn’t bring the bad things into your life, but He can use them
Genesis 50:20 (the story of Joseph) What you meant for evil, God meant for good.
2. You can birth transition in your life by deciding to reject your current level in favor or a new level.
Philippians 3:20
3. Between levels, there is always trouble. Between levels is the place called transition.
  • Matthew 14:15
  • Jesus would not have told the multitude to feed the people if they were not capable of doing so
  • V.19 Jesus “broke” he broke the limit
  • God is a limit breaking God
  • 1 Corinthians 16:9
  • If you see opposition, you should know that opportunity is around the corner.
4. Habits of the first level do not work at the next level.
  • Your habits are determining your future.
  • Matthew 3 – Repent means to return to the top. The top represents the beginning (Gen. 1:26)
5. Some people at the first level don’t work at the next level.
6. Successful transition requires your willingness to change.
7. Transition is what gets you from one level to the next (life is lived on levels and carried out in stages/seasons)
8. You were created for multiplication and movement. When God says multiply, he means to at least double.
9. If you’re going to be used by God, He will take you through a multitude of experiences that are not meant for you at all. They are meant for others so that you know what transpires in the hearts of men; so you will never be surprised at what you come up against.
10. People are in your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime.
  • Some relationships have expiration dates on them and some will never expire.
  • You have to discern who you’re connected to and for how long.
  • Never put a comma where God put a period.
The next thing that God is bringing you into is always better than the current thing

  • The parable of the sower is the foundational key to the kingdom.
  • The potency of the Kingdom is immeasurable.
  • The limit is not with God, it is with us.
  • Kingdom things do not work if you don’t have revelation of it (if you don’t get it).
  • You need to have an understanding.
  • Matthew 13:44
  • Your heart follows your treasure (what you value).
  • Once you get your thinking straightened out/your value changed, you can see the Kingdom clearly and other things become easy.
  • To the degree the light shines the darkness has to back off.
  • When God asks you for something you shoud willingly give it because He is trying to get something else into your hands.
  • Exchange is the process of life. Everything that you want will cost you something you have.
  • John 6:
  • When you find a treasure, you buy the whole thing.

  • Proverbs 4:20-21
  • The good news is that the that
  • You can know someone and not know their ways.
  • We want to know God’s ways and we want to know Him. Ultimately His ways bring us to Him.
  • Matthew 6 says to not worry about provision; worry about the Kingdom. The kingdom will bring you what you need.
  • Mark 4: 14-__
  • There are certain things in the Kingdom that, if you have them, it will produce everything else that you need.
  • The Word of God is consistent. The variable it the heart.
  • Guard your heart with all diligence; do what you need to do rather than what you want to do.
  • God can change your heart.
  • Unbelief is sin.
  • If you get up as many times as you fall, you’re still standing.
  • God will send people to cause what is wrong with you (the things that will abort your destiny) to rise to the top.
  • When the hard places (places that resist GOD)

  • Mark 4
  • Any area that you’re not bearing fruit in has the potential to be your most fruitful area. Why? Because when you can’t do it on your own, you then have to depend on God, thus have the ability through Him to do more.
  • You can’t play up to God and man at the same time. If you’re trusting in man as your source, then you can’t trust God as your source. If you’re trusting in God as your source, then you aren’t concerned with man.
  • Wisdom is a condition of your heart, not an accumulation of knowledge. No matter how much you know, you still do not know what you need to know.
  • Wisdom and understanding are related to the heart and also related to healing.
  • Matthew 13:1-23
  • Always look in the Bible for patterns
  • God starts with those who hear… the most important thing is the condition of your heart.
  • Everything that God does is aimed at your heart.
  • THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT YOUR HEART
1. God can change the condition of your heart: you’re not stuck with the heart that you have. Duet. 8:18 (people are looking for wealth when God gives you power to get wealth.

Seeking money can mess you up, but seeking God will get you what you want

2. You are responsible for the condition of your heart.

3. Your heart should be your most important prayer focus: every time you go into prayer you should come out changed. There should be an exchange; you give God something and He replaces it with something that should be there.

4. The condition of your heart determines the level of your walk
  • 1 Kings 3:6-13
  • Good Kings turn the people’s hearts toward God; bad Kings turn their hearts away from God. A good leader turns the people’s hearts to God, not to themselves.
  • Asking for the right thing pleases God.
  • Certain things allow you to get other things. Certain things are breakthrough things.
  • You go from glory to glory; the first thing you need is a hearing ear (willingness to change), then you need understanding.
  • The invisible thing is the kingdom attracts seen things and there are people who are drawn to the seen thing, but never get the essence of the unseen thing and miss out on what they are supposed to get.
  • If you do not have the revelation, you do not want the ministry or you will lose it.
  • Of whatever is seen, if it is not rooted in the unseen, you will lose it.
  • If you don’t see the kingdom, you will get into false warfare and shoot yourself in the foot every time.
  • Humility precedes promotion and honor. If you start tripping, a fall is coming.
  • The condition of your heart determines the level of your walk.
  • The word that you have gotten is not to you, it is to the transformed you. When you get a word (a promise) a process of change comes next.
  • God will allow you to have enemies because they will do something that your friends will not do and that is, take you to the cross.
  • Before every breakthrough there is a cross (trouble).
  • Change usually takes place in crisis because crisis brings reality.
  • Hebrews 3:1-8
  • Faith, hope and joy are not an option.
  • Any situation in your life that does not produce hope means that you have believed the lie.
  • The answer to poverty is the gospel
  • Obedience softens the heart. Every time you obey something that God tells you to do, it is easier the next time. When you disobey, it is harder the next time.
  • Unbelief is a decision to resist God’s word by hardening your heart to it; unbelief is a choice.
  • Faith is a matter of yielding, not a matter of effort [with God nothing is impossible].
  • No rhema (Word from God) lacks the power necessary for it to come to pass.
  • If God has something for you, the enemy (trouble) is going to come and try to take it from you and many times it will happen in a relationship. Watch the people who are in your life. Sometimes you think that it is a natural altercation, but it is spiritual.
  • On your way to your destiny, something is going to happen to tick you off, scare you, or intimidate you. Your focus should always be on your response, not on what happened.
  • If you don’t watch it, you will stay small to keep people comfortable with you who have small minds.
  • If people cannot rejoice with you when something good happens to you, they do not love you.
  • You never cooperate with the stony part (the hardened heart).
  • God gave you a comforter because it is going to get uncomfortable.

> Mark 4

> The difference in some people is how they hear.

> The promises that we have in the Bible are audacious – Audacious: gutsy (EVERYTHING that you put your hands to will prosper)

> You are already equipped to minister simply because you know God. You have a story and a testimony that you can minister from.

> You can introduce others to someone you know: you know God, so you can introduce Him to others (minister)

  • Mark 4:9-
  • God’s kingdom is invisible which makes it more powerful than seen things.
  • God gives us authority and power. Authority is the right to exercise your dominion and power is the ability to move things.
  • Water represents Judgment.
  • In order to get rid of evil, there has to be judgment.
  • Religious people are the ones who got on Jesus’ nerves.
  • Sometimes you have to offend the mind to reveal the heart.
  • Matthew 13:10-15
  • v.15 Grown Dull = make thick or make fat (metaphor is to make stupid). Jesus was saying that the people have grown into stupidity and that is why he speaks in parables. If God spoke to them directly, they would reject it. Parables caused them to ask questions and opened them up to gain knowledge.
  • Jesus asked questions. We need to ask more questions and make people think.
  • A religious spirit equips you with a defense mechanism against the truth.
  • In the spirit the way you blind a person is through their mind.
  • The god of this world has blinded the eyes of those who see not.
  • If your thinking is wrong, you can’t see properly.
  • What God is positioning you for this year is where he is going to take you next year.

  • Mark 4:
  • The keys to the Kingdom of Heaven are in earth.
  • God has called us to take the invisible things and cancel out the things that are seen (“your will be done on earth as it is in heaven”)
  • Matthew 13:10-23
  • The difference between the church and the rest of the world is what we see. We see something that other people cannot see.
  • Money will not help if thinking does not change.
  • To whoever has, more will be given.
  • All you have to bring to God’s table is a willingness to change and He will do the rest.
  • Every war in your life is a fight over the word. The enemy comes immediately to steal the word.
  • Something breaks when you’re all in.
  • Any storm that you can sleep through, you have dominion over. If the storm has you up, it has you.
  • If you’re sensitive and touchy, you will never make it.
  • What are you doing for yourself? Stop worrying about the responsiveness of other people.
  • Trouble comes for the WORD’S sake; quite taking it personal.
  • Make sure you protect the thing that you hear from God.
  • It’s going to get worse the closer you get to your destination.
  • Give the enemy resistance with everything he throws at you.
